Registered Veterinary Nurse | Buckinghamshire

A Partner-led small animal practice in Buckinghamshire is looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its team on a full-time basis.

With a salary from £30,500 per annum, this is a varied clinical nursing position offering a choice of a 4 or 5-day working week, nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 work and plenty of opportunity to use your nursing skills across all areas of the practice.

The Role

You'll take an active clinical role within the practice, with responsibility for delivering nurse-led appointments while supporting the veterinary team across consultations, surgery and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Running nurse-led clinics and appointments
• Carrying out Schedule 3 activities
• Supporting consultations, surgeries and procedures
• Patient monitoring and inpatient nursing
• Managing admissions and discharges
• Delivering high standards of client care
• Working closely with the Vets and wider practice team
• Maintaining high clinical, regulatory and operational standards

Rota

The full-time position offers some flexibility around how your working week is structured:

• 40 hours per week
• Worked across 4 or 5 days
• 1 in 4 weekends
• Some Bank Holiday cover may be required at a nearby 24-hour veterinary centre

About the Practice

You'll be joining a Partner-led small animal practice in Buckinghamshire, offering the close team environment of a local first-opinion clinic alongside the additional support and resources of a wider veterinary network.

The practice encourages its RVNs to make full use of their clinical skills, including nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 work, rather than limiting the nursing role to supporting duties.

About You

You'll need to be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for high-quality patient and client care.

You'll ideally be someone who:

• Enjoys hands-on clinical nursing
• Is confident running nurse-led appointments
• Works well as part of a collaborative team
• Is keen to utilise and further develop their nursing skills
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of patient care
