Registered Veterinary Nurse | Bedfordshire

A Partner-led small animal practice in Bedfordshire is looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its team on a full-time basis.

Offering a salary from £30,500 per annum, this is a varied clinical nursing role with the flexibility to work across either a 4 or 5-day week, alongside a manageable weekend rota.

The Role

You'll have the opportunity to use your nursing skills across a broad range of clinical duties while working closely with the veterinary and wider nursing team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Running nurse-led appointments
• Carrying out Schedule 3 activities
• Supporting Vets with consultations, surgeries and procedures
• Patient monitoring and inpatient nursing
• Managing admissions and discharges
• Delivering high standards of client care and communication
• Maintaining clinical, regulatory and operational standards
• Working collaboratively with the wider practice team

Rota

The role provides flexibility around how the working week is structured, with the option of working either:

• 4 days per week, or
• 5 days per week
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• Some Bank Holiday cover at a nearby 24-hour veterinary hospital

About the Practice

You'll be joining a Partner-led practice in Bedfordshire, providing the close-knit working environment of a local first-opinion clinic while benefiting from the support and resources of a wider veterinary network.

The team encourages its RVNs to utilise their clinical skills, including nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities, with access to additional hospital support when required.

About You

You'll need to be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent standards of patient and client care.

The position would suit an RVN who:

• Enjoys hands-on clinical nursing
• Wants to make full use of their nursing skills
• Is comfortable running nurse-led appointments
• Works well as part of a collaborative team
• Is keen to continue developing clinically and professionally
