🐾 Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse – Long-Term – East Sussex 🐾

We are recruiting for a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide regular long-term cover at a brand-new independent small animal practice in East Sussex.

The practice requires support on Tuesdays and Fridays, together with a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota, while they recruit an additional permanent member of the nursing team.

This is a great opportunity for an RVN looking for a consistent long-term booking, working within a modern purpose-built practice with no OOH or on-call.

🏥 The Practice

This is a newly established, purpose-built small animal practice forming part of an experienced independent veterinary group.

The practice offers an excellent modern clinical environment with facilities including:

• Digital radiography
• Ultrasonography
• Integrated in-house laboratory
• Dedicated surgical theatre
• Modern consulting rooms
• Purpose-built inpatient facilities
• Facilities supporting visiting specialist surgeons

The veterinary team is currently supported by part-time locum Veterinary Surgeons while the practice continues to recruit its permanent clinical team.

🐾 The Role

This is a varied first-opinion nursing position with the opportunity to utilise a broad range of clinical skills.

Depending on the caseload, duties can include:

• Theatre nursing and surgical assistance
• Anaesthetic monitoring
• Inpatient and patient care
• Diagnostic imaging support
• Laboratory work
• Nurse consultations
• Preventative healthcare
• Client education and support

As a relatively new practice, you'll also have the opportunity to become an important part of the developing clinical team as the practice continues to establish and grow its client base.

🐾 The Nurse

We're looking for a confident Registered Veterinary Nurse who can provide reliable ongoing cover on Tuesdays and Fridays and participate in the 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota.

You'll need to be comfortable with general first-opinion nursing duties, work well alongside vets and the wider support team and provide a high standard of patient and client care.

With just two regular weekdays, short Saturday mornings and no OOH or on-call, this could work particularly well for an RVN looking to add a consistent long-term booking to their locum schedule.
