We are recruiting for an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide ongoing cover at a busy, modern small animal practice in South Yorkshire, starting 26th November 2026.

This is a regular 4-day week plus a 1 in 4 weekend rota, with accommodation available and a rate of up to £500 per day.

🏥 The Practice

This is a large, modern, purpose-built small animal practice with an experienced multidisciplinary clinical team and excellent diagnostic, surgical and inpatient facilities.

The practice offers an extensive range of equipment including advanced diagnostic imaging, dedicated ultrasound and dental facilities, multiple operating theatres and separate inpatient wards.

You'll be working alongside an experienced team with a broad range of clinical interests, providing plenty of support and opportunities for clinical collaboration.

🐾 The Vet

We're looking for a confident all-round GP Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable managing a busy first-opinion caseload.

You must be capable of handling both consultations and routine surgical procedures and be comfortable working as part of an established clinical team.

This is an excellent longer-term booking for a locum looking for a regular 4-day week, predictable weekend rota and accommodation provided.

New Grad Experience

Both Abby and Adam were fantastic, quick to respond and also really took into account what exactly I was looking for.
