🐾 Locum Veterinary Surgeon – September – East Riding of Yorkshire 🐾

We are recruiting for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide short-term cover at a friendly, long-established independent small animal practice in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The booking is initially for 2 weeks from 7th–18th September 2026, working 2–3 days per week, with the possibility of further ongoing cover.

🩺 Duties: Consultations and routine surgery
👤 Sole charge: Yes
🚫 OOH: None
🏠 Accommodation: Provided if required
💷 Rate: £400–£500 per day

🏥 The Practice

This is a well-established independent practice offering a varied first-opinion caseload with a range of medical, surgical and diagnostic facilities.

Facilities include computerised X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory equipment, alongside routine surgical and dental facilities.

You'll be joining an established team of vets, nurses and support staff within a genuinely independent environment.

🏡 Accommodation

Excellent accommodation can be provided and includes 2 large bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

The accommodation is also suitable for a locum travelling with family and/or pets.

🐾 The Vet

We're looking for a confident small animal vet who is comfortable with consultations, routine operations and sole charge.

You don't necessarily need to be available for every day of the booking, with flexibility around the additional weekdays. However, availability for 9th and 16th September is particularly important.
