An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, independently run standalone practice in South Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vet looking for genuine clinical freedom, flexibility and the ability to have a real say in how the practice develops. With a salary up to £60,000 FTE, flexible full or part-time hours, no Sundays or out-of-hours and excellent support for CPD and certificates, the role offers an attractive combination of career development and work-life balance.

The Practice
This well-established standalone small animal practice offers a refreshing environment for Veterinary Surgeons who value clinical freedom, collaborative decision-making and the opportunity to have their ideas genuinely considered.
The locally led practice has a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards while ensuring the team enjoys a healthy work-life balance. With leadership based within the practice, decisions can be made quickly and clinicians are given the freedom and support to provide the care they believe is right for their patients.
You'll be joining a close-knit clinical team of three Veterinary Surgeons (2 FTE), including two highly experienced Vets and a more recent graduate with a special interest in exotic medicine. The wider team includes three Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse and two Receptionists.
The team enjoys a supportive and sociable working environment, with regular team activities and days out helping maintain the close-knit culture within the practice.
The practice is also recognised as a certified Autism Friendly Surgery, reflecting its commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for both colleagues and clients.

The Location
Located in South Cheshire, the practice enjoys an excellent position surrounded by attractive countryside while remaining within easy reach of Crewe, Sandbach, Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Cheshire area.
The Peak District is also readily accessible, while Manchester can be reached in approximately an hour. Excellent road connections include convenient access to the M6, alongside good local rail and bus services, making the area well suited to both commuting and enjoying life outside of work.
The Role
The practice is particularly interested in finding an experienced Veterinary Surgeon on a part-time basis, although there is genuine flexibility and both full and part-time working arrangements can be discussed.
There is flexibility around working days, with Monday, Wednesday and Thursday particularly useful to the practice, although alternative arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
You'll manage a varied first opinion small animal caseload across both medicine and surgery while enjoying complete clinical freedom to make appropriate decisions for your patients.
Weekend commitments are limited to just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm, with no Sunday working and no out-of-hours responsibilities.
Professional development is actively encouraged, with support available for CPD, certificates and the development of individual clinical interests.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident across routine medicine, consultations and surgical procedures.
You'll be comfortable managing your own caseload while enjoying the benefits of working alongside experienced colleagues when support or case discussion is needed.
