An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, forward-thinking small animal practice in the Fareham area. The Practice
This friendly and progressive 100% small animal practice is purpose-built and equipped with an excellent range of modern diagnostic, surgical and patient care facilities. The team is passionate about delivering high standards of clinical care while creating a supportive working environment where nurses are encouraged to develop and make full use of their professional skills.
The practice sees a varied first opinion caseload, including cardiac and abdominal ultrasound cases, providing plenty of opportunity to gain experience across different areas of veterinary nursing. Continued investment in facilities and equipment is a key focus, with plans to further expand the practice's inpatient capabilities through the addition of a dedicated Intensive Care Unit.
Registered Veterinary Nurses play an integral clinical role within the practice and are encouraged to be involved across theatre, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, inpatient care and nurse-led consultations rather than being restricted to routine nursing duties.

The Location
Located in the Fareham area of Hampshire, the practice is well positioned for access across the South Coast, including Portsmouth, Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire countryside. The area offers excellent road and public transport connections alongside easy access to coastal areas, countryside and a wide range of local amenities.
The Role
This is primarily a full-time position working 40 hours per week, including a shared 1 in 4 Saturday rota. Part-time applications may also be considered for the right candidate.
You'll enjoy a genuinely varied nursing role incorporating theatre, anaesthesia, radiography, dental procedures, inpatient care, nurse-led clinics and general nursing responsibilities. The emphasis is very much on allowing RVNs to utilise their skills rather than limiting their clinical involvement.
Professional development is actively encouraged, with CPD support available and opportunities to continue developing individual areas of interest. A Clinical Coach qualification would be advantageous, although nurses interested in undertaking the training are equally welcomed.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and providing a high standard of service to clients.
You'll be friendly, approachable and down-to-earth, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a busy clinical team.
