An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a recently renovated and progressive small animal practice in Preston, Lancashire. The Practice
This well-established small animal practice has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, creating a modern clinical environment equipped to deliver an exceptional standard of first opinion veterinary care. The practice has a loyal client base and an excellent reputation within the local community, offering a varied caseload that ranges from routine procedures through to advanced orthopaedic and minimally invasive surgery.
You'll become part of an experienced and supportive clinical team consisting of five Veterinary Surgeons, including an advanced surgery certificate holder, together with a highly skilled nursing and support team. Teamwork is at the heart of the practice, creating a collaborative and welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, develop their skills and deliver the highest standards of patient care.
The practice works closely with a nearby Medivet 24-hour hospital and neighbouring branches, giving access to advanced diagnostics, emergency care and specialist expertise. The Role
This is a permanent full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position working 40 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available to support a healthy work-life balance.
The rota includes 1 in 3 weekends, offering a varied and rewarding workload across consultations, theatre, inpatient care and advanced procedures. You'll undertake nurse consultations, Schedule 3 activities, anaesthesia, patient monitoring, surgical support and client education while working closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
One of the standout features of this role is the opportunity to become involved in more advanced procedures including orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy. With support from experienced clinicians and access to advanced equipment, this role is ideal for an RVN who is keen to broaden their clinical experience and continue developing their nursing skills.

The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
While the practice ideally seeks someone with 1–2 years' UK nursing experience, applications are welcomed from confident and enthusiastic RVNs at different stages of their career who are eager to learn and develop. You'll enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, be committed to delivering high clinical standards and be keen to take advantage of the excellent opportunities for professional growth available within this advanced first opinion practice.
