The Role
This is a permanent full-time Head Veterinary Nurse position combining hands-on clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities.
You'll lead the nursing team by providing clinical guidance, mentoring and day-to-day support while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance and operational excellence are consistently maintained throughout the practice.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll continue to undertake a varied clinical role including nurse consultations, Schedule 3 procedures, inpatient care, surgical support, anaesthesia, patient monitoring and client communication. You'll work closely with the Veterinary Surgeons and wider practice team to promote excellent teamwork, efficient workflows and a positive working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys developing others while remaining actively involved in clinical nursing.
The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
You'll have excellent communication and organisational skills together with the confidence to lead, motivate and develop a nursing team. Applications are welcomed from experienced Head Veterinary Nurses as well as ambitious RVNs who are ready to step into their first leadership position and are keen to continue developing both their clinical and management skills.
