The Practice
This established small animal practice has built a loyal client base and enjoys an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality first opinion veterinary care within a welcoming and supportive environment. The practice offers a varied caseload, allowing Veterinary Surgeons to work cases through while building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
You'll work alongside an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon who holds a postgraduate certificate in advanced practice, providing excellent opportunities for clinical collaboration, mentorship and case discussion. The team actively encourages professional development and supports individual clinical interests, creating an environment where Veterinary Surgeons are empowered to develop their skills while maintaining a high degree of clinical autonomy.

The Role
This is a permanent part-time position, ideally working three days per week, although flexibility is available for the right candidate.
The role includes 1 in 4 Saturdays at a nearby practice within the local network and offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload with an appropriate level of sole charge responsibility.
You'll provide a mixture of consultations, routine surgery and medical case management while enjoying the opportunity to work cases through to completion wherever possible. The varied caseload and supportive clinical environment make this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to continue developing their clinical skills while enjoying genuine autonomy and continuity of care.
Working closely with experienced colleagues across the wider Medivet community, you'll have access to additional support, mentorship and specialist expertise whenever required.
The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least one year's experience in small animal practice.
You'll be confident with first opinion consultations and routine surgical procedures, comfortable undertaking some sole charge responsibilities and passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking for greater clinical freedom while continuing to develop within a collaborative and supportive practice environment.
