The Practice

This welcoming and recently refurbished small animal practice combines the feel of a community practice with the support and resources of a wider veterinary network. The clinic has built a loyal client base and offers a varied first opinion caseload, providing an enjoyable mix of consultations, theatre work and inpatient nursing.

You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team where nurses are encouraged to fully utilise their clinical skills, taking an active role in nurse consultations, Schedule 3 procedures and inpatient care. The practice also benefits from close links with a nearby 24-hour hospital, offering additional clinical support, emergency care and excellent opportunities for professional development.

The Location

The Role

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours across four days, providing an excellent work-life balance.

The role includes occasional shifts at a nearby 24-hour hospital, allowing you to broaden your clinical experience while remaining primarily based within the practice.

The weekend commitment consists of a 1 in 3 Saturday rota, working across two nearby practices with morning and afternoon consulting sessions.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care through nurse consultations, Schedule 3 procedures, surgical support, inpatient care, patient monitoring and client education. You'll be encouraged to use the full range of your nursing skills while working closely with an experienced veterinary and nursing team.

The Candidate

You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care.

You'll enjoy working within a collaborative team, be confident managing a varied nursing workload and be keen to continue developing your clinical skills. This opportunity would suit an RVN looking to join a supportive practice where nurses are genuinely empowered to make a difference to patient care.
