The Practice
This recently refurbished, purpose-built small animal practice offers a bright, spacious and welcoming working environment designed to support high-quality first opinion veterinary care. With a loyal and growing client base, the practice provides a varied medical and surgical caseload while offering plenty of opportunity to develop new services and clinical interests.
You'll be joining a close-knit and supportive team consisting of an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon, an additional Veterinary Surgeon, an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, a Student Veterinary Nurse and dedicated support staff. The collaborative environment allows plenty of clinical discussion while giving you the autonomy to manage your own cases and influence the direction of the practice.
The practice is committed to investing in both its people and facilities, with support available to purchase additional equipment that enables clinicians to pursue and develop their individual clinical interests. The team also benefits from close links to a nearby 24-hour veterinary hospital, providing seamless access to advanced diagnostics, emergency care and specialist referral services.

The Role
This is a permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon position, although part-time applications are also welcomed.
The rota includes a 1 in 6 full weekend commitment at a nearby 24-hour hospital, approximately one week of on-call per year, and 1–2 Bank Holidays annually (pro rata for part-time colleagues), providing an excellent balance between clinical exposure and personal time.
You'll enjoy a varied first opinion caseload across consultations, medicine and surgery while having genuine clinical autonomy to manage cases and develop your own areas of interest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who wants to influence the future direction of a growing practice, with the freedom to introduce new ideas and develop services that benefit both clients and patients.

The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical standards and outstanding client care.
You'll enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team while being confident managing a varied first opinion caseload. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking for greater clinical autonomy, opportunities to develop specific interests and the chance to make a genuine impact within an expanding practice.
