The Practice
This well-established small animal practice offers a friendly, supportive working environment with a loyal and established client base. The practice provides a varied first opinion caseload across medicine and surgery, making it an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to enjoy clinical freedom while continuing to develop professionally.
You'll be joining a close-knit team that values collaboration and high clinical standards, while also encouraging individual interests and allowing Veterinary Surgeons the autonomy to manage cases and build long-term relationships with clients.
The practice enjoys strong support from a nearby 24-hour hospital, providing access to advanced diagnostics, specialist expertise, emergency care and referral services whenever required, allowing you to manage cases confidently while knowing additional support is always available.

The Role
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours across four days, although part-time applications will also be considered to support flexible working.
The rota includes either 1 in 3 Saturday mornings or 1 in 6 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital, with no out-of-hours commitment, providing an excellent balance between career and personal time.
You'll enjoy a varied first opinion caseload across consultations, medicine and surgery, with a high level of clinical autonomy and the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest. Whether your passion lies in surgery, internal medicine or another clinical discipline, the practice is committed to supporting your professional development and investing in the equipment and training needed to help you achieve your goals.
This role would particularly suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with sole charge and enjoys building long-term relationships with clients while developing a loyal caseload.
The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid first opinion experience and confidence managing a varied caseload independently.
You'll be passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care, enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team and be keen to develop your own clinical interests. Confidence with sole charge, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to patient care will enable you to thrive in this role.
