An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the founding clinical team of a brand-new, purpose-built small animal practice serving Feltham, Ashford and Sunbury. This permanent full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside the Head Veterinary Surgeon and help shape the clinical standards, team culture and services provided by the practice from day one.
Rather than simply joining an established team, you will help create one, with genuine input into how the practice operates and how patient care is delivered.
Key Highlights
• Salary £50,000 – £70,000 per annum depending on experience.

The Practice
This brand-new veterinary surgery has been designed to provide an excellent experience for patients, clients and the clinical team.
Facilities will include:
• 8 consultation rooms.
• 3 operating theatres.
• Dedicated dental suite.
• Dedicated diagnostic imaging suite.
• Spacious preparation area.
• Modern inpatient wards.
• In-house laboratory facilities.
• Modern diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
The practice will be light, spacious and designed to create a calm patient environment while supporting efficient clinical workflows and thorough diagnostic work-ups.
As part of the founding veterinary team, you will work alongside the Head Vet, Registered Veterinary Nurses and support colleagues to establish a collaborative and progressive clinical culture.

The Location
The practice will serve clients across Feltham, Ashford, Sunbury and the surrounding West London and Surrey areas.
It benefits from excellent access to Heathrow, Hounslow, Twickenham, Richmond, Staines and Central London, together with convenient road, rail and public transport connections.
The Role
This is a varied small animal GP position combining consultations, diagnostics, surgery, inpatient management and preventative healthcare.
You will be encouraged to contribute ideas, develop your own clinical interests and help establish the culture and clinical standards of the new practice.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Consulting and managing a varied first opinion caseload.
• Diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• Performing routine and more advanced surgical procedures.
• Undertaking thorough diagnostic work-ups.
• Delivering preventative healthcare and client education.
• Managing inpatients and ensuring effective handovers.
• Supporting and collaborating with the nursing team.
• Promoting clinical governance and evidence-based care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Building strong relationships with clients and the local community.
• Helping establish clinical systems and ways of working within the new practice.
Dedicated administration time is included within each shift.
About You
• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Ideally at least 3 years of small animal GP experience.
• Confident across first opinion medicine and surgery.
• Strong communication and client care skills.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
• Collaborative and supportive team player.
• Organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
• Interested in helping establish a new practice.
• A particular clinical interest would be welcomed and supported.
