An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the founding team of a brand-new, purpose-built small animal practice serving the Feltham, Ashford and Sunbury areas. This permanent full-time position offers the opportunity to help create a nursing culture where clinical skills are fully utilised, ideas are valued and exceptional patient care is embedded from the first day.
Rather than joining an established structure, you will help shape how the nursing team works, how patients move through the practice and how clinical care is delivered.

• Salary £30,000 – £36,000 per annum depending on experience.

The Practice
This brand-new small animal practice has been purpose-built to provide an excellent experience for patients, clients and colleagues. The surgery will be light, spacious and designed to create a calm environment for pets while supporting efficient clinical workflows.
Facilities will include:
• 8 consultation rooms.
• 3 operating theatres.
• Dedicated dental suite.
• Dedicated diagnostic imaging suite.
• Spacious preparation area.
• Modern inpatient wards.
• In-house laboratory facilities.
• Modern diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
The practice forms part of an established independent, family-owned veterinary group, providing the resources and support of a nationwide organisation while allowing the founding team to shape the culture and day-to-day operation of the new surgery.
Nurses will be encouraged to work to the full extent of their abilities, including nurse clinics, Schedule 3 procedures, inpatient care, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and client education.
The Location
The practice will serve Feltham, Ashford, Sunbury and the surrounding communities of West London and Surrey. It benefits from excellent access to Heathrow, Hounslow, Twickenham, Staines and Richmond, together with strong road, rail and public transport connections.
The surrounding area provides a wide range of local amenities, green spaces and convenient links into Central London.
The Role
As one of the founding Registered Veterinary Nurses, you will play an important role in establishing clinical standards and creating a supportive, collaborative nursing team.
This is a hands-on position offering exposure to all aspects of first opinion nursing. You will work closely with the veterinary team while helping develop systems and ways of working that support excellent patient care.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Supporting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations and diagnostics.
• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring.
• Running nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.
• Delivering inpatient care and monitoring.
• Undertaking laboratory work and diagnostic radiography.
• Supporting dental procedures and theatre duties.
• Performing Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.
• Providing client education and preventative healthcare advice.
• Supporting Student Veterinary Nurses where applicable.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Helping establish clinical protocols and effective workflows.
• Delivering a warm and professional experience for every client and patient.

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Confident across general first opinion nursing duties.
• Passionate about fully utilising and developing your clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Positive, proactive and adaptable.
