The Practice

This recently refurbished 24-hour small animal hospital provides both first opinion and out-of-hours care for a large network of surrounding practices, creating an interesting and diverse caseload across medicine, surgery and emergency care.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced clinical team that includes certificate holders in cardiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, dermatology and emergency and critical care. The Role

This is a full-time permanent role working an average of 39 hours per week, although part-time applications will also be considered.

The rota includes 1 in 6 weekends, ensuring a fair and balanced approach across the clinical team.

You’ll enjoy a varied workload across first opinion consultations, medicine, surgery and inpatient care, with exposure to more advanced hospital cases through the hospital’s role as the regional out-of-hours provider. This role would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon with strong general practice skills and a keen interest in surgery who is looking to further develop within a supportive multidisciplinary hospital.

The Candidate

You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years’ UK small animal experience.

You’ll be confident managing a varied first opinion caseload, enjoy both medicine and surgery, and be committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care. An interest in advancing your surgical skills would be particularly beneficial, although you’ll be fully supported by an experienced team when managing more complex cases.
