An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a modern, purpose-built small animal practice in Lincoln. This ongoing locum position offers a varied first opinion caseload within a well-equipped practice, working alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team.

The Practice
This purpose-built small animal practice forms part of one of the UK’s largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups and provides high-quality first opinion veterinary care within a spacious, modern working environment.
You’ll be joining an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care across a varied caseload. The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities, allowing the clinical team to provide excellent standards of medical and surgical care.
Facilities include:
• Modern operating theatres.
• Digital radiography.
• Dental facilities.
• In-house laboratory.
• Ultrasound equipment.
• Dedicated nurse consultation rooms.
• Separate dog and cat wards.
• Modern preparation and treatment areas.
The Location
Located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, the practice benefits from excellent transport links and easy access to the city centre and surrounding areas. Lincoln offers an excellent balance of historic charm, modern amenities and beautiful countryside.
The Role
This ongoing locum opportunity is available from August and offers a consistent working pattern of four 9-hour days per week together with a 1 in 4 weekend rota.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.
• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring.
• Inpatient nursing and patient care.
• Laboratory work and diagnostic support.
• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures.
• Delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team.
About You
• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Previous small animal practice experience.
• Confident across all aspects of first opinion nursing.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable and supportive team player.
• Available to start in August.
