The Location

The Role
This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours across four days per week.
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll provide clinical leadership while continuing to enjoy a varied first opinion caseload across both medicine and surgery. You’ll support and mentor veterinary colleagues, encourage clinical development, promote best practice and help maintain the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the wider leadership team, you’ll also contribute to the continued growth and commercial success of the practice while helping to foster a positive and collaborative working culture.
The role includes 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital, together with participation in the on-call rota, providing exposure to a wider variety of emergency and advanced clinical cases.
The Candidate
You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with excellent clinical and communication skills and previous experience working within a first opinion small animal practice.
This role would suit either an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon or an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into a leadership role. You’ll enjoy mentoring colleagues, driving clinical standards and delivering exceptional patient and client care.
