The Practice
This modern small animal practice combines a loyal and established client base with a brand-new, purpose-built practice designed to provide an excellent working environment for both colleagues and patients. The team has developed a strong reputation for delivering compassionate veterinary care while maintaining a friendly and supportive culture where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and work collaboratively.
Led by an experienced Practice Owner and supported by a dedicated team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants, Receptionists and an experienced Practice Manager, the practice prides itself on creating an environment where colleagues feel valued, respected and supported throughout their careers.
The varied first opinion caseload offers an excellent mix of medicine and surgery, with the flexibility to accommodate Veterinary Surgeons who would prefer a consulting-only role.

The Location
Located in Northampton, Northamptonshire, the practice benefits from excellent transport links with easy access to the M1 motorway, Northampton railway station and surrounding towns and villages. The Role
This flexible position is available on either a full or part-time basis, working between 25 and 40 hours per week, with flexibility around working days and hours to help achieve an excellent work-life balance.
The successful candidate will manage a varied first opinion caseload while working alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, follow cases through and enjoy the support needed to develop your own clinical interests. Consulting-only applicants are also welcomed.
Weekend commitments are limited to a shared 1 in 3 Saturday rota, with no out-of-hours or overnight responsibilities. The practice is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, while Bank Holiday cover is shared on a rota with shorter working days.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine consultations, surgery and occasional sole charge, although consulting-only candidates will also be considered.
You’ll be a compassionate and approachable communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team and is passionate about delivering exceptional standards of patient and client care. The practice is looking for someone who values teamwork, mutual respect and continuous learning while contributing positively to the ongoing success of the practice.
