The Practice
This long-established Small Animal Hospital has been providing exceptional veterinary care since 2002 and has grown into one of the region’s leading veterinary hospitals. As an RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic, the practice provides 24-hour care for both first opinion and referral patients, allowing excellent case continuity and exposure to a diverse range of medical and surgical cases.
The hospital has achieved five RCVS Outstanding Awards, recognising its commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care. You’ll be joining an experienced multidisciplinary team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, including a dedicated Out of Hours team, 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and an experienced non-clinical support team, all working collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care.
Veterinary Surgeons have the opportunity to work with an extensive range of advanced procedures including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy, chemotherapy and endoscopy, alongside a busy and rewarding first opinion caseload.

The Role
The practice welcomes applications from Veterinary Surgeons at all stages of their career. Whether you’re looking to build confidence within a supportive first opinion environment or expand your experience managing advanced referral-level cases, the hospital can tailor the role to suit your experience and career aspirations.
You’ll enjoy exposure to a varied and interesting caseload across medicine, surgery and emergency care, with opportunities to work cases up to a high standard alongside an experienced clinical team. Veterinary Surgeons with ambitions to study towards a certificate will receive full encouragement and ongoing support.
Flexible working patterns are available, including full-time, part-time and weekend-only positions. Participation in the weekend rota is required, with frequency dependent upon contracted hours.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and continuously developing their clinical skills.
You’ll be confident managing routine medical and surgical cases, enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and be committed to maintaining the highest clinical standards.
