The Practice
This established first opinion small animal practice has been caring for pets within the local community for over eight years and has developed a loyal client base built on exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service. Led by experienced clinical professionals, the practice has created a supportive culture where teamwork, open communication and continuous development are genuinely encouraged.
You’ll be joining an experienced team of three Veterinary Surgeons, five Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Veterinary Care Assistant and four dedicated Receptionists who work closely together to provide the highest standards of care. The practice is accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and has also been recognised with a Good Client Service Award, reflecting its commitment to both clinical excellence and client experience.
The varied caseload provides an excellent balance of medicine and surgery, including orthopaedic procedures, giving Veterinary Surgeons the opportunity to develop their clinical interests while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

The Role
This flexible role can be tailored around the successful candidate, with both full and part-time applications welcomed. The practice understands the importance of achieving a healthy work-life balance and is happy to consider flexible working patterns, including school hours where possible.
You’ll enjoy a varied first opinion caseload across both medicine and surgery while working within a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and clinical development. The team actively supports Veterinary Surgeons looking to pursue further qualifications or develop individual areas of interest through a generous CPD allowance and certificate funding.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience within small animal practice and be confident managing routine medical cases and surgical procedures.
You’ll be a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills who enjoys building strong client relationships and working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care are essential, together with a genuine passion for animal welfare and clinical excellence.
