The Practice
This welcoming Vets4Pets practice has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality first opinion veterinary care within a genuinely supportive and collaborative environment. The team places patient care and clinical standards above targets, ensuring Veterinary Surgeons have the time they need to deliver the best possible outcomes.
Appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes as standard, with the flexibility to extend consultations whenever clinically appropriate. The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to combine clinical excellence with mentoring responsibilities.
Alongside providing outstanding patient and client care, you’ll support Holly, the practice’s recent graduate Veterinary Surgeon, helping guide and develop her throughout her Graduate Development Programme.
The practice is looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, values high clinical standards and wants to be part of a team where communication, mutual respect and work-life balance are genuinely prioritised.
The Culture
The team prides itself on creating an environment where people enjoy coming to work. Hierarchy, egos, unrealistic targets and unnecessary corporate pressures are left at the door, replaced by openness, honesty, teamwork and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional veterinary care.
The practice actively embraces diversity and inclusion and is working towards achieving its Autism Friendly Award. Neurodivergent colleagues are supported, recognising that everyone brings different strengths and ways of working to the team.
Outside of work, the team believes in working to live, not living to work. Holidays are encouraged and supported, colleagues cover for one another, and burnout is never viewed as part of the job. Dogs are welcome in practice, and many team members enjoy fitness, netball and making the most of the nearby Peak District.
The Location
Located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire (S41), the practice enjoys an excellent position on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offering the perfect balance between town and countryside living.
