The Practice
This exciting new small animal practice forms part of one of the UK’s largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups and has been purpose-built to provide exceptional first opinion veterinary care within a spacious, modern and collaborative working environment.
As one of the founding members of the team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to influence how the practice develops while working alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and support colleagues who are committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care.
Designed with both patients and clinicians in mind, the practice offers outstanding facilities, enabling nurses to work to the full extent of their skills while delivering exceptional standards of care.

• 8 consultation rooms.
• 3 operating theatres.

The Role
This permanent full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position offers the opportunity to work across all aspects of first opinion veterinary nursing within a brand-new, modern practice.
Working an average of 39 hours per week across four 9-hour days, together with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and nurse care nights on rotation, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care while helping establish the nursing culture and standards within the new practice.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.
• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring.
• Inpatient nursing and patient care.
• Supporting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgery.
• Laboratory work, diagnostic imaging and theatre duties.
• Performing Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.
• Client education and preventative healthcare advice.
• Supporting and mentoring Student Veterinary Nurses where applicable.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Delivering outstanding patient and client care.

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Previous experience within a small animal practice.
• Confident across all aspects of first opinion veterinary nursing.
