An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the founding team of a brand-new, purpose-built small animal practice in Feltham. This permanent full-time position offers a rare opportunity to help establish a new veterinary surgery from day one, working alongside the Head Veterinary Surgeon to shape the clinical standards, team culture and future success of the practice.

The Practice
This exciting new small animal practice forms part of one of the UK’s largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups and has been purpose-built to provide exceptional first opinion veterinary care within a spacious, modern and collaborative working environment.
As one of the founding Veterinary Surgeons, you’ll work closely with the Head Veterinary Surgeon to establish a practice centred around clinical excellence, exceptional client care and a positive team culture. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how the practice develops while enjoying the support of an established nationwide veterinary group.
The purpose-built surgery has been designed with both patients and clinicians in mind, providing outstanding facilities and advanced technology to support a varied first opinion caseload.

The Location
Located in Feltham, Greater London, the practice benefits from excellent transport links, providing easy access from Hounslow, Ashford, Sunbury, Twickenham, Staines, Heathrow and Central London. The Role
This permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon position offers a varied first opinion medical and surgical caseload within a brand-new practice where you’ll play a key role in shaping clinical standards from the outset.
Working an average of 39 hours per week across four 9-hour days, together with a 1 in 4 weekend rota, you’ll work closely with the Head Veterinary Surgeon and wider clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care while helping establish a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Typical responsibilities include:
• First opinion consultations.
• Medical investigations and diagnostic work-ups.
• Routine and more advanced surgical procedures.
• Preventative healthcare and client education.
• Inpatient management and continuity of care.
• Supporting and mentoring the nursing team.
• Promoting evidence-based medicine and clinical governance.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Building strong relationships with clients and the local community.
• Delivering exceptional patient and client care.
This role is ideal for an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon with strong all-round clinical skills who enjoys working collaboratively and would like the opportunity to help establish and grow a brand-new veterinary practice.
About You
• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Minimum of 3 years’ UK small animal GP experience.
• Confident in both first opinion medicine and surgery.
• Strong communication and client care skills.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional clinical standards.
• A collaborative and supportive team player.
• Organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
• Keen to contribute to building a successful new practice.
