An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, purpose-built small animal practice in Lincoln. This permanent full-time position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years’ UK small animal GP experience who is passionate about delivering outstanding clinical care within a supportive and progressive practice.

The Practice

This purpose-built small animal practice forms part of one of the UK’s largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups and is committed to delivering exceptional clinical care alongside an outstanding client experience. The spacious, modern surgery is equipped with the latest technology, allowing clinicians to provide a high standard of first opinion medicine and surgery while working cases up thoroughly.

The practice has a collaborative and supportive culture, with Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and support colleagues working closely together to provide exceptional patient care. Many members of the team are undertaking postgraduate certificates, creating an environment that actively encourages continuous professional development.

The Role

This permanent Veterinary Surgeon position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive first opinion environment, managing a varied medical and surgical caseload while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Working a 4-day week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care with a strong focus on preventative healthcare, diagnostics and client communication.

Typical responsibilities include:

• First opinion consultations.
• Medical investigations and case work-ups.
• Routine and emergency surgical procedures.
• Diagnostic imaging and laboratory interpretation.
• Inpatient management and continuity of care.
• Preventative healthcare and client education.
• Working collaboratively with the veterinary and nursing teams.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Delivering exceptional patient and client care.

This role offers an excellent balance of consulting, surgery and medical case management, allowing you to fully utilise and develop your clinical skills within a well-equipped practice.

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Minimum of 3 years’ UK small animal GP experience.
