Head Veterinary Surgeon Lincoln, Lincolnshire – I ndependent

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Head Vet role within a modern small animal practice in Lincoln. This position offers the chance to lead an established clinical team while helping drive clinical standards and professional development within a growing independent veterinary group.

The Role

This is a full-time leadership position working 4 days per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping clinical standards, mentoring colleagues and supporting the continued development of the practice.

There are no out-of-hours requirements, although the Head Vet may provide support for any overnight inpatients where required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the veterinary team

• Supporting and mentoring colleagues to enhance clinical standards

• Delivering excellent patient and client care

• Helping shape clinical strategy and service development within the practice

• Promoting gold-standard, evidence-based veterinary care

The Practice

You will be joining a purpose-built veterinary practice equipped with modern surgical and diagnostic facilities.

The practice forms part of a well-established independent veterinary group, providing the benefits of a wider network while maintaining the culture and values of an independent veterinary business. The team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality care in a supportive and positive environment.

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Experienced small animal clinician

• Confident leader with strong mentoring skills

• Salary £75,000 – £90,000 depending on experience
