Veterinary Surgeon (GP Experience) | Rotherham, South Yorkshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with strong GP experience to join a modern and well-equipped small animal practice in the Rotherham area. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive clinical environment as part of a growing independent veterinary group committed to high standards of patient care and professional development.

The Role

This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week. The practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years of small animal GP experience who is passionate about delivering excellent clinical care.

A special interest in dentistry would be advantageous but is not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering preventative healthcare and wellness services

• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical and surgical conditions

• Promoting pet wellbeing and preventative medicine

• Working collaboratively with both clinical and non-clinical team members

• Maintaining excellent client communication and case continuity

The Practice

You will be joining a purpose-built veterinary practice with modern facilities and advanced equipment designed to support high standards of clinical care.

Facilities include multiple consultation rooms, several operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, ultrasound facilities and advanced diagnostic imaging including CT scanning. The practice also benefits from separate dog and cat wards and well-equipped preparation areas.

The practice forms part of a well-established independent veterinary group, combining modern facilities with a collaborative and supportive team culture.

About You

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Minimum three years' small animal GP experience preferred

• Interest in dentistry advantageous

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for delivering high-quality patient care
