OOH ECC Night Veterinary Surgeon Leeds, West Yorkshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped 24-hour small animal hospital in the Leeds area.

This role offers an excellent work-life balance with a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota, allowing you plenty of time away from practice while still maintaining a varied and rewarding ECC caseload.

The Role

This position is ideally suited to a Veterinary Surgeon with experience in emergency and critical care who enjoys working within a dedicated night team and managing complex cases.

You will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient care during out-of-hours periods while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Managing emergency and critical care cases

• Performing emergency surgical procedures

• Delivering high standards of inpatient and emergency care

• Working collaboratively with the night nursing and support team

• Maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues

The night team is well supported, typically consisting of a veterinary surgeon, experienced RVN, veterinary care assistants and reception support.

The Practice

You will be joining a modern, purpose-built veterinary hospital equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment.

Facilities include:

• In-house laboratory

• Digital radiography

• Ultrasound

• Dental suite and dental radiography

• Orthopaedic surgical equipment

• Endoscopy

• Advanced imaging equipment

The hospital provides emergency and referral support to numerous surrounding practices, offering an excellent and varied caseload.

You will also benefit from the support of certificate holders across surgery, medicine and dentistry.

The Rota

• 7 nights on / 14 nights off

• Dedicated night team support

• Structured night shifts with protected consultation times

Salary & Benefits

• Salary £55,000 – £60,000 depending on experience

• £1,500 CPD allowance with certificate support encouraged
