This part-time role offers leadership responsibility within a well-established client base, alongside strong clinical support and excellent transport links.

The Practice

Situated in a vibrant riverside area of South West London, this first-opinion practice benefits from a loyal and largely insured client base. The team includes an associate vet and a dedicated clinical support team who are passionate about delivering high standards of patient and client care.

The practice is entering an exciting new phase, with the opportunity to shape and grow the team further. Ultrasound facilities are now available on site, enhancing diagnostic capabilities.

Support is provided by a nearby 24-hour hospital for complex case referrals and out-of-hours services, alongside experienced regional clinical leadership and management support.

The Role

As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will work collaboratively with the senior RVN to help oversee daily operations and clinical standards within the branch.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing consulting and surgical diaries.

• Carrying out consultations and routine surgeries to a high clinical standard.

• Ensuring accurate, thorough clinical record keeping.

• Supporting induction of new team members and locums.

• Scheduling and contributing to branch meetings.

• Referring complex cases appropriately.

• Promoting a respectful and collaborative team culture.

This role would suit an experienced vet ready to step into a senior position. Formal leadership training will be provided where required.

About You

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

• Experienced in general small animal practice.

• Confident managing cases independently.

• Strong communicator with leadership potential.

• Committed to high standards of clinical care and teamwork.
