An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to step into a Senior RVN role within a well-established small animal practice in West London. This position offers leadership responsibility, strong clinical exposure and support from a wider hospital network — all with no on-call requirements.

The Practice
This unique first-opinion GP practice is well equipped for day-to-day clinical work, with modern facilities including consult rooms and a dedicated colleague area. The team consists of an experienced veterinary surgeon and established support staff who are engaged and committed to high clinical standards.
Out-of-hours support is provided by a nearby 24-hour hospital offering advanced imaging, CT, laparoscopic equipment and specialist-led services, ensuring strong clinical backup and referral pathways.
The location benefits from excellent transport links, including immediate access to major underground and rail routes.
The Role
As Senior RVN, you will take responsibility for leading and supporting the nursing and reception teams while maintaining high clinical standards across the practice.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting the nursing team.

Assisting in theatre and consultations where required.

Ensuring high standards of patient care, comfort and welfare.

Utilising Schedule 3 skills as directed.

Overseeing equipment maintenance and compliance.

Conducting weekly Controlled Drug audits.

Supporting reception team operations and client service standards.

Acting as clinical supervisor for student nurses.
This role would suit an experienced RVN ready to step into leadership. Prior leadership experience is desirable but not essential, as formal in-house leadership training will be provided.
