An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Surgical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing, award-recognised veterinary group covering multiple sites across Greater London. This brand-new role offers the chance to lead and develop in-house orthopaedic and complex soft tissue services across a well-established London caseload.

• Role: Surgical Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

• Contract: Permanent.

• Location: Greater London (multi-site role).

• Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week.

• Weekend rota: 1 in 4 weekends.

The Role

This is a surgically biased position ideally suited to an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner, Surgical Senior Vet or certificate holder in orthopaedics. The role involves working across three London surgeries, all within easy commuting distance of central London.

With an established client base and a strong volume of registered patients, there is immediate scope to develop in-house orthopaedic and complex soft tissue services, alongside the opportunity to grow referral work.

While the focus is surgical, the role will also include consultation time to build surgical caseload and carry out post-operative checks. Dedicated daily administrative time is included to support case management and leadership responsibilities.

The successful candidate will also mentor and support colleagues, promoting high clinical standards and strong customer service across sites.

The Practice

You will work within spacious, purpose-built surgeries equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical equipment. The practices are designed with patient journey, client experience and colleague wellbeing in mind, providing a strong platform for advanced surgical work.

This is a collaborative environment with a growing team, offering flexibility and autonomy while maintaining strong operational support.

About You

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

• AVP, Surgical Senior Vet or certificate holder in orthopaedics preferred.

• Confident performing orthopaedic and complex soft tissue procedures.

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

• Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple sites.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
