An excellent opportunity for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, close-knit small animal practice in Redditch, Worcestershire. • Weekend rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays (09:00–14:00).

• Salary: Up to £60,000 FTE dependent on experience.

The Practice

This well-established, 100% small animal practice is proud of its welcoming team culture and cohesive working environment. The team consists of multiple full-time equivalent vets, experienced RVNs, reception staff and a dedicated Practice Manager, all working collaboratively to maintain high clinical standards.

The practice offers a varied caseload and encourages clinical freedom, allowing vets to work cases up thoroughly while benefiting from the support of colleagues and visiting surgeons where required.

The Role

This position offers a balanced mix of consultations and surgery, with some sole-charge shifts included. You will also support and mentor veterinary students when on site.

The successful candidate will enjoy autonomy in managing their own cases while working within a supportive and relaxed yet professional environment.

About You

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

• Experienced and confident in general small animal practice.

• Comfortable with consults, surgery and occasional sole charge.

• Friendly, supportive and team-focused.

• Keen to contribute positively to a collaborative workplace culture.

Training & Development

Professional growth is actively encouraged, with funded CPD and opportunities to develop surgical skills alongside visiting clinicians. The team places strong emphasis on continuous learning and supporting career progression.
