Key Details

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse.

• Contract: Permanent.

• Location: Doncaster area, South Yorkshire.

• Hours: Full-time (38 hours over 4 days) or part-time considered.

• Weekend rota: Approximately 1 Saturday morning every 6 weeks (08:00–12:30), paid additionally or given as TOIL.

• Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 pro rata, dependent on experience.

The Practice

This well-established veterinary hospital operates across multiple sites and offers a high clinical standard with a genuinely varied caseload. The team includes certificate holders across a range of disciplines, creating a collaborative environment where nurses are fully utilised and supported.

• Hospital-level inpatient care.

• Laparoscopic equipment.

• Dental x-ray.

• Advanced surgical and orthopaedic procedures.

• Nurse training practice with a strong development culture.

The Role

This position offers a flexible mix of consulting, hospital, prep and theatre shifts, which can be tailored to individual strengths and preferences. The rota has been carefully designed to support work–life balance, with no out-of-hours or Sunday shifts.

Inpatients remain on site overnight with external OOH support, ensuring continuity of care without the requirement for night work.

Additional qualifications and certificates are encouraged, with salary open to discussion for candidates bringing further skills and experience.
