• Contract: Permanent.

• Location: Preston, Lancashire.

• Hours: Full time – 4-day week.

• Weekend rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends.

• OOH: None.

• Salary: £60,000 per year.

The Opportunity

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years' UK small animal experience who enjoys a hands-on clinical role and is confident managing a varied caseload. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact within a busy, community-focused practice while developing your clinical and surgical skills alongside experienced colleagues.

The Practice

The practice is an award-winning, well-regarded clinic serving a loyal client base in a vibrant suburban location. Known locally as Withy Grove Vets, it benefits from excellent transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, the Lake District and surrounding countryside.

You'll be part of a welcoming team including a highly experienced Veterinary Surgeon with multiple surgery certificates, supported by a strong nursing and client care team. The practice also works closely with a nearby 24-hour hospital and surrounding branches for internal referrals and case support.

• Laparoscopy and endoscopy.

• TTA kit and patella luxation equipment.

• Digital and dental X-ray.

• Quality ultrasound.

• Capnography and ventilators.

• Modern surgical and diagnostic suite.

The Role

• Deliver exceptional clinical care in consultations and surgery.

• Manage a varied small animal caseload to a high clinical standard.

• Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients.

• Work collaboratively within a supportive, experienced team.

• Maintain excellent regulatory, clinical and operational standards.

• Share skills and support the development of colleagues.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon.

• Minimum of 2 years' UK small animal practice experience.

• Confident in both consulting and routine surgery.

• Strong communication and client-care skills.

• Team-oriented, proactive and clinically motivated.
