Role: Veterinary Surgeon.

Contract: Permanent.

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week over 4 days.

Weekend rota: Either 1 in 3 Saturdays or Sundays, or 1 in 6 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital.

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The Opportunity
This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to work in a well-located, close-knit practice with a supportive team structure. You'll work alongside an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, supported by a dedicated nursing and reception team and an on-site Practice Manager.
The practice is ideally located in central Oxford, close to the train station, University Parks and Oxford town centre, offering an excellent balance of professional and lifestyle benefits.
The Role

Deliver high-quality clinical care in consultations and surgery.

Manage a first-opinion small animal caseload.

Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients.

Maintain excellent clinical, regulatory and operational standards.

Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Share skills and support the development of colleagues.
The Team

One experienced Veterinary Surgeon.

Two Registered Veterinary Nurses.

One Student Veterinary Nurse.

Dedicated receptionist support.

On-site Practice Manager.

Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon.

Confident delivering first-opinion small animal care.
