Key Details

• Role: Veterinary Surgeon.

• Contract: Permanent.

• Location: Birmingham, West Midlands.

• Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week.

• Weekend rota: 2 in 5 Saturdays, 9:00am – 4:00pm.

• Flexibility: Part-time hours considered.

• Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The Opportunity

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to work within a supportive, well-staffed practice offering a wide variety of cases. You'll be working alongside a team of six vets, supported by a large and experienced nursing team, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and professional development.

The practice is long established within the local community and is ideally located close to Sutton Coldfield, with Birmingham city centre just a 15-minute drive away.

Facilities & Clinical Exposure

• Diagnostic surgical equipment.

• Ultrasound scanner.

• Digital X-ray facilities.

• Dedicated dental machine.

• On-site orthopaedic expertise for complex fracture and surgical repairs.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality clinical care in consultations and surgery.

• Manage a varied first-opinion small animal caseload.

• Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients.

• Maintain excellent clinical, regulatory and operational standards.

• Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

• Share skills and support the development of colleagues.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon.

• Experience in small animal practice.

• Strong communication and client-care skills.

• Team-focused, professional and collaborative approach.

• Commitment to high clinical standards.
