The Opportunity
This role would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys delivering high standards of patient and client care while contributing to the wider clinical and operational success of the practice. You will be accountable for patient care within the clinic, ensuring regulatory, practice and operational standards are consistently maintained.
You'll work closely with veterinary and nursing colleagues, supporting a positive clinical culture and contributing to mentoring and best practice sharing across the team.
The Role

Deliver high-quality clinical care in consultations and procedures.

Take accountability for patient care and ongoing monitoring.

Manage admissions and discharges appropriate to case complexity.

Complete accurate and timely clinical records and handovers.
-
Prescribe and dispense medication in line with clinical governance.

Ensure effective communication with clients regarding patient care.

Provide updates to clients following procedures or onward referrals.

Support clinical mentoring and development of colleagues.
-
Maintain compliance with regulatory, practice and operational standards.

Contribute to effective utilisation of clinical skills and capacity.
Client Care Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care and service to clients at all times.

Manage client queries, concerns and complaints professionally.
-
Ensure clients are kept fully informed throughout patient treatment.

Support clear communication for OOH or enhanced care handovers.
Standards, Compliance & Performance
-
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and health & safety standards.

Support accurate estimates, invoicing and cost discussions with clients.
-
Take action to minimise debt and support agreed client payment processes.

Contribute to efficient clinic performance and workflow management.
What We're Looking For

Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon.

Confident delivering first-opinion small animal care.

Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership and mentoring skills.

Strong communication and client-care skills.
-
Team-focused, professional and proactive approach.

Experience supporting nurse consults and collaborative working.
