An excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or 2nd or 3rd year Student Veterinary Nurse to join a large, purpose-built veterinary hospital in, Leicestershire. This is a full-time role within a fast-paced hospital environment, offering outstanding facilities, strong clinical support and excellent training and development opportunities.

Key Details

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse / Student Veterinary Nurse (2nd or 3rd year).

• Contract: Permanent.

• Location: Leicestershire.

• Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week.

• Shifts: Between 8:00am and 8:00pm.

• OOH: Includes on-call and out-of-hours weekends.

• Salary: Up to £26,800 per annum, depending on experience.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a newly qualified RVN or a student in their second or third year who is keen to develop strong nursing skills within a hospital setting. The practice offers a busy, varied caseload and places a strong emphasis on learning, CPD and progression.

You'll be supported by a large, experienced clinical team, allowing you to focus purely on nursing, with preparation, cleaning and theatre support provided by dedicated auxiliaries.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across all areas of the hospital.

• Support surgeries, procedures and inpatient care.

• Develop nursing skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Work within a structured team focused on high clinical standards.

• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours nursing duties.

• Maintain excellent patient, client and regulatory standards.

• Purpose-built veterinary hospital.

• Six operating theatres.

• Multiple consulting rooms.

• Separate cat, dog and exotic wards.

• In-house laboratory.

• Digital X-ray facilities.

• On-site equine hospital.

• Dedicated exotics caseload with specialist support.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse or 2nd/3rd year Student Veterinary Nurse.

• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to nursing.

• Interest in developing a wide range of clinical skills.

• Interest in exotics advantageous but not essential.

• Willingness to participate in on-call and OOH rota.

• Team-focused, motivated and keen to learn.
