This is a full-time permanent night role, ideal for an RVN looking to develop strong medical and surgical nursing skills within an emergency and critical care environment.

• Salary: £32,000 – £36,500 per annum, depending on experience.

The Opportunity

This role is well suited to an RVN who enjoys working nights and thrives in a hospital environment. You will work closely alongside a dedicated night veterinary surgeon, delivering high-quality emergency and inpatient care while developing your confidence and skillset in medical and surgical nursing.

The structured rota provides excellent work–life balance, with extended periods of time off between blocks.

The Role

• Deliver exceptional patient care during overnight hours.

• Carry out nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures.

• Support emergency consults, surgeries and clinical procedures.

• Deliver patient monitoring and inpatient nursing care.

• Manage admissions and discharges overnight.

• Deliver exceptional care and communication to clients.

• Work collaboratively with the night veterinary surgeon and wider hospital team.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, practice and operational standards.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.

• Interest in emergency and critical care nursing.

• Confident delivering inpatient and overnight nursing care.

• Strong team player with good communication skills.

• Calm, organised and professional approach to night work.
