Key Details

Role: Head Veterinary Nurse.

Contract: Permanent.

Location: Gatley, Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week.
-
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Weekend rota: 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby branch.

Salary: £37,000 per annum.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an RVN ready to step into a leadership position or an experienced Head Nurse looking for a well-supported, forward-thinking practice. You will play a key role in delivering high standards of patient care, supporting veterinary surgeons and leading the nursing team.
The practice has been fully refurbished, offering a clean, bright working environment with excellent facilities and a strong community feel.
The Role

Deliver exceptional nursing care across all areas of the practice.

Lead nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures.

Support consults, surgeries and clinical procedures.

Deliver patient monitoring and inpatient nursing care.

Manage admissions and discharges.

Deliver exceptional care and communication to clients.

Provide clinical leadership, guidance and development to the nursing team.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, practice and operational standards.
What We're Looking For

RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Experience in a senior or leadership nursing role, or readiness to step up.

Strong clinical nursing skills across all areas.

Confident leader with excellent communication skills.

Ability to motivate, develop and inspire colleagues.

Professional, caring and organised approach.

Salary £37,000 per annum.
