Key Details

• Role: Veterinary Surgeon.

• Location: Mapperley, Nottinghamshire.

• Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week.

• Weekend Rota: 1 in 5 weekends.

• Weekend Hours: Saturday 9:00am–4:30pm, Sunday 10:00am–3:30pm.

• Out of Hours: None.

The Practice

This is a modern, well-equipped small animal practice located close to both Nottingham city centre and the Peak District. Facilities include digital and dental x-ray, in-house laboratory, separate dog, cat and rabbit wards, and advanced laparoscopic equipment used for procedures such as laparoscopic spays and cystoscopy.

The practice is proud to be a Gold Cat Friendly Clinic and an RCVS-accredited training practice, with a strong emphasis on patient welfare, clinical standards and client care.

The Role

This is a full-time veterinary surgeon position within a busy, expanding team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse caseload, allowing you to build on your interests across both medicine and surgery.

You will be supported by an experienced clinical team, with opportunities to develop and follow cases through while maintaining excellent work-life balance.

The Team

• Team of 5 experienced veterinary surgeons.

• Multiple certificate holders and vets working towards certificates.

• Clinical interests across surgery, imaging, dentistry and exotics.

• Supported by a dedicated nursing team of 5 RVNs.

• Strong front-of-house support from a team of 7 receptionists.

• Salary £50,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
