Key Details
• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
• Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week.
• Working Pattern: Four 9-hour days per week.
• Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 weekends.
• Additional Duties: Duty nights on rotation.
• Contract: Permanent.
The Role
This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a friendly, established nursing team within a modern, well-equipped practice. You will play an integral role in delivering high standards of patient care while supporting colleagues across all areas of the practice.
Duties will include:
• Providing high-quality nursing care across consults, theatre and inpatient wards.
• Supporting veterinary surgeons during procedures and diagnostics.
• Assisting with a varied caseload, including exotic, dental and behaviour-related cases.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and upholding best practice standards.
• Working collaboratively with RVNs, student nurses and support colleagues.
• Contributing to a positive, patient-focused and team-driven working environment.
What We're Looking For
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to clinical nursing.
• Confidence working across multiple areas of practice.
• Enthusiasm for learning, CPD and professional development.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

• Salary: £26,000 – £31,000 DOE.
