• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse.

• Location: Old Kent Road, London (SE1).

• Hours: Full time.

• Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–6pm).

• Out of Hours: None.

The Role

This is a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position within a busy, purpose-built first-opinion practice. Nurses play a vital clinical role and are fully involved in the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting both patients and clients to the highest standard.

The role includes a 1 in 4 Saturday rota, working 9am–6pm, with no out-of-hours or on-call requirements.

You will be involved in a broad range of nursing duties, including Schedule 3 procedures, inpatient care and supporting the veterinary team across consultations and surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Schedule 3 procedures under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.

• Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing support.

• Nursing and monitoring inpatients, including pain scoring and enrichment.

• Assisting with diagnostic procedures, including radiography.

• Triaging patients for veterinary attention.

• Dispensing medications in line with professional guidelines.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.

• Supporting nurse consultations and delivering excellent client care.

• Working closely with senior colleagues to support practice development.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse, or confident newly qualified RVN.

• Comfortable working across all areas of nursing in practice.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A team player who takes pride in delivering high clinical standards.

• An interest in ongoing learning, development and practice improvement.
