This is a full-time, permanent role offering a structured working week, strong clinical support and a genuine focus on work–life balance, within a large and collaborative veterinary team.

Role: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon.

Hours: Full time (part time considered).

Average hours: 40 hours per week.

Weekend rota: 1 in 5 shared Saturdays.

The Practice

RCVS-accredited small animal practice with multiple sites in and around Cardiff.

Combination of main hospital and branch-based working on a shared rota.

Structured working day with clinical leadership present at all times.

Hybrid inpatient model with overnight nursing care during the week.

Evidence-based, quality-improvement-focused clinical culture.
The Role

Mixed role covering consulting, surgery and inpatient care.

Four-day working week with rota balance built in.

20-minute consultations to allow thorough case work-ups.

Dedicated admin time included within the working day.

Protected lunch breaks built into the rota.

Collaborative working across hospital and branch environments.
Facilities & Clinical Exposure

Modern first-opinion small animal facilities.

Fully equipped diagnostic and surgical setup.

Inpatient care supported by on-site RVN cover during the week.

Strong referral and support network within a wider clinical group.
What We're Looking For

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

Confident all-rounder with medical and surgical experience.

Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.

Team-focused approach and enjoyment of collaborative working.

Interest in continued learning, development and quality improvement.

Multiple certificate holders across both veterinary and nursing teams.
