Veterinary Nurse (Maternity) Poole, Dorset

A fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, RCVS-accredited small animal practice on a fixed-term maternity cover contract in Poole, Dorset. This part-time role offers genuine work–life balance with no out-of-hours, a varied nursing role and the chance to work minutes from the South Coast.

Key Details

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse.

• Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover).

• Location: Poole, Dorset.

• Hours: Part time, 28.5 hours per week.

• Working pattern: Hours worked over 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

• Saturdays: Rare overtime only if cover is required.

• Out of hours: None.

• Bank holidays: Practice closed.

The Role

• Varied RVN role covering consulting and clinics.

• Theatre duties and anaesthetic support.

• Inpatient care and monitoring.

• Reception support as required.

• Working as part of a collaborative and supportive nursing team.

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.

• Comfortable working across all areas of nursing.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Positive, proactive approach to patient and client care.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £33,230 per annum, pro rata.
