The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead the nursing team within a recently refurbished small animal practice in Yeading, Greater London.

The practice has been upgraded to a very high standard and offers an excellent working environment for a nurse who enjoys combining clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities. This role would suit an experienced Head Nurse or a confident RVN ready to take the next step into a leadership position.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading and developing the nursing team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day clinical work.

Duties include leading nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, supporting consults and surgeries, overseeing inpatient care, and managing admissions and discharges. You'll also play a key role in maintaining high clinical, regulatory and operational standards, while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week.

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Previous experience in a senior or leadership nursing role preferred

• Confident mentoring, motivating and developing colleagues

• Strong clinical skills with high standards of patient care

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities

• Proactive, approachable leadership style

Location

Based in Yeading, Greater London, the practice benefits from a modern, spacious layout following a full refurbishment. Facilities include multiple consult rooms, a dedicated nurse consult room, a large prep area, refurbished theatre, imaging room, and staff facilities — creating an excellent environment to work and lead a team.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary £32,000–£37,000 DOE
