Registered Veterinary Nurse – Croydon, Greater London

Salary £30,000–£36,000 DOE.

The Opportunity

An established and successful small animal practice in Croydon, Greater London is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and experienced team.

Recently refurbished, the practice offers a bright, modern working environment with spacious consultation rooms, a dedicated theatre and prep area, and a strong, supportive culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to work in a well-run practice with good case variety and access to advanced hospital support.

The Role

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with 1 in 5 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital.

You'll be actively involved in all aspects of general practice nursing, including nurse-led consultations, Schedule 3 procedures, surgical support, inpatient care, and client communication. You'll also work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistently high standards of care.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident delivering high standards of patient and client care

• Comfortable supporting surgeries and procedures

• Experience running nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 activities

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Organised, proactive, and clinically focused

Location

Based in Croydon, Greater London, the practice is within a 20-minute walk of East Croydon station, offering fast and direct rail links into central London in approximately 15–20 minutes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering exceptional care to patients and clients

• Supporting surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative care

• Running nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 activities

• Monitoring inpatients and managing admissions and discharges

• Supporting patient transfers for out-of-hours care

• Dispensing and checking medications

• Maintaining compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards

• Contributing positively to team communication and daily workflow

Must Haves

• RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
