The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, well-established small animal practice in Acton, West London.

The role offers the chance to lead and develop a dedicated nursing team while remaining actively involved in clinical work. This position would suit an experienced RVN ready to step into leadership or an existing Head Nurse looking for a new challenge in a supportive environment.

The Role

As Head RVN, you will be responsible for maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursing team.

You'll work closely with the lead vet and practice manager, supporting team development, mentoring colleagues, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture. Alongside leadership duties, you will remain hands-on clinically, delivering excellent patient and client care.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Previous experience in a senior, mentoring or leadership role preferred

• Confident leading and supporting a nursing team

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• High clinical standards and a patient-focused approach

• Proactive, supportive leadership style

Location

Based in Acton, Greater London, the practice benefits from excellent transport links and local amenities. The area offers a great balance of accessibility and community feel within West London.

• Salary £32,000–£36,000 DOE
