The Opportunity

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital in Kensington, Greater London.

The hospital manages a dynamic and diverse caseload, ranging from routine consultations to complex emergency and critical care cases. This role is ideal for a confident RVN who enjoys leading from the front, combining clinical excellence with team leadership in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The Role

You will play a key leadership role within the hospital, remaining actively involved in clinical nursing while supporting, mentoring and developing the wider nursing team.

Responsibilities will include leading nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, supporting consults, surgeries and diagnostics, overseeing inpatient care, and managing admissions and discharges. You'll work closely with senior colleagues to maintain high clinical, regulatory and operational standards, while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

The role is full time, working 40 hours per week, with 1 in 6 weekends.

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Previous experience in a senior or leadership nursing role

• Confident leading, mentoring and motivating a nursing team

• Strong clinical skills and commitment to high standards of care

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Proactive leadership style with a focus on development and wellbeing

Must Haves
