Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 branch Saturdays and 1 in 10 hospital Sundays

The Practice Environment

Established first opinion GP practice in a period building

Well-equipped with digital and dental x-ray

Manageable GP caseload suitable for sole charge working

Supported by an experienced RVN and trainee nurse

Strong regional support including an experienced regional manager and regional head vet
-
24-hour hospital support available for complex referrals and out-of-hours care
The Role
-
Sole charge GP position with a balanced and sustainable caseload
-
Mix of consultations, routine surgery and case management
-
Structured day allowing time for admin alongside clinical work
-
Opportunity to build long-term client relationships
-
Full clinical autonomy with senior support available when required
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-
Carry out consultations and thorough clinical examinations
-
Make evidence-based diagnostic and treatment recommendations

Perform routine GP surgeries within personal competence
-
Prescribe and dispense medications in line with legislation and RCVS guidance
-
Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records
-
Triage and refer cases appropriately to hospital facilities when required

Work collaboratively with nursing colleagues to maintain SOPs and branch organisation
-
Oversee consulting and surgical diary management
-
Contribute to a respectful and supportive team environment

Salary & Benefits

£60,000 to £75,000 FTE inclusive of weekend rota, depending on experience

6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

CPD allowance up to £2,000 per year plus up to 5 paid CPD days

Must Haves
- RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
- Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
